Ultra rare red 1947 GecoPhone. Note the tropical cradle and also Hong Kong enamel dial (which itself is an extremely rare item). Gecophones were not standard issue items by the Hong Kong GPO and this phone would have been a special order.
Very interesting dial label, marked K (for Kowloon), with “H” pointing to 5 (the dial code for Hong Kong Island) and “NT” pointing to 0 (the dial code for the New Territories).
